About Dee
Dee is a Philadelphian coming to Houston from New Jersey. She is a foster mother who takes care of children with severe trauma and challenges. She likes to make scrapbooks and decorating to make spaces more functional. She resides with her husband, Together Dee and her husband have three children and a host of foster children whom they love dearly. Dee says, “Yolanda is the inspiration behind my volunteering. I want the wholeness that comes from caring for people outside of your circle. That is a unique love. I love Yolanda’s mission to love, empower, and liberate” Dee is follower of Jesus Christ, this organization allows her to put her faith in practice.
Dee says, “ Miracles R Real Outreach makes a difference in the community! The community has come back to say thank you and to share their testimonies of how they were blessed. But as a volunteer, I have been the most impacted. Giving has blessed me far more than receiving has! It grows your heart in ways I never imagined!” When asked about which historical figure Dee would have dinner with if given a chance, she said, “Of course, everyone probably says Jesus! I have a lot of questions and comments for Him.” Her favorite movie is, “The Notebook.” Her favorite song is, “I have decided to follow Jesus (African Melody Remix)” her favorite book is, “The Bible.”
A Day with MRRO
“I love volunteer days,” Dee says. “I get to use my unique gifts and talents. I use my organizational skills to set up. I use my computer skills to create presentations. I use my communication skills to teach others. I use my faith to love, pray for, and empower people. It truly is a fun day!”
Proud Moments
Dee says, “I recall being able to encourage a teen to pray aloud in front of people for the first time ever. It was an incredible feeling to be used by God.” She goes on to say, “I have learned to never give up. I have learned that I have a family in MRRO!

Dee’s personal motto is, “It ain’t over until it’s over!” She closes by saying, “God bless Yolanda Ford for allowing herself to be used mightily!”
